With so many wines out there, consumers often look beyond the label for stories that connect with them. The folks at Twin Cities Moms Blog found their connection in Famiglia Meschini (that’s “Fa-mee-lee-ah Mes-kee-nee”) Wines from South America and featured them on Twin Cities Live on Monday, July 13th at 3:00 pm, during their “Favorite Things” segment.
You may recognize Famiglia Meschini wines as great values from Argentina and Chile…but you may not know about their local connection. The wine is produced by the Meschini family of Mendoza, Argentina, who have made wine there for 3 generations. The other half of the equation is Eugenio and Teresa Meschini, of South Minneapolis, who co-own the wine brand and import it here to America.
Teresa Meschini, who grew up in Rochester, MN, met Eugenio while in college at University of St. Thomas. The couple has four children and a dog – which would keep a family busy enough – but add on school and church fundraising, charity work and a not-so-part-time job running a wine import company, and it’s no wonder Teresa has won the admiration of the TC’s Moms Blog!
